DJ Reverend Hep plays the finest mid century Rock n Roll, Swing, Jazz, and Rhythm n Roots music.
Inspired by a 1972 television airing of the film Rock Around The Clock when he was 10, he performed in Rockabilly bands throughout his youth before exploring music from the 1930s to the 1960s. He has spent over 50 years collecting shellac, vinyl, CDs, and digital formats. As an active swing dancer, he operated the not for profit Swing Dance Club Swingdicate for 10 years. His philosophy centers on providing the best dance music regardless of the storage format. His eclectic sets are designed to make audiences Jump, Jive, Rock, Stroll, Shake, Wiggle, or Swing Out. Notable credits include guest DJ sets at Newport Rock n Roll Club in South Wales, and consecutive performances at the Newbury Retro Festival Sptfire Pavillion from 2021 to 2026. In 2024, he performed at the Feel The 50s weekender in the Netherlands and the Pistons and Props weekender in the UK.
